Really Short Short Update after AFA 09

Ok so many things happens (Great things) happens and also too much to report. I will jus write anything that comes to my mind.

The winner of the Regional Cosplay Championship this year is from Singapore 00-Emotion. But none the less all the other finalist are all doing their best and they are all the best!! Arigatou gozaimasu! Otsukare...

The Concerts are amazing, even i didnt went in, the tension can be felt also from outside of the hall and so i guess it was a big success!

All the cosplayers who have make their effort to come were all amazing, no matter where they came from and how far they travels, all the cosplayers are friends! Otsukare...

The exhibitions are FANTASTIC!!! BEST Anime festival indeed.

Lastly just for these few days only, i made many new friends, i hope we still keep in contact and hope to see you all again. To those people who had help me. ARIGATOU GOZAIMASU (_ _)

Kumikyoku practice on 15 Nov for Jkt Toyz Mania

Ok krn sebelum g berangkat ke AFA, g mau adain 1x kumikyoku practice. Tidak akan lama paling 1 - 2 jam saja. Tempat kumpul di Emporium Pluit (SOGO) tanggal 15 Nov minggu ini jam 1300 sharp.

Perlu diketahui juga tgl 6 Dec kumikyoku akan mengisi acara Jakarta Toyz Mania yang di STC Senayan, jadi harap kerjasamanya.

Memang akan mendadak, tp kl bisa tolong kasi tau teman2 yg laen yg kalian kenal di kumikyoku mengenai dua hal diatas. Thanks.

Beberapa bulan yg lalu, kita sudah perna perform kumikyoku di FX, maka skrg giliran kita perform lagi di Monas dalam rangka acara penutupan Jak-Japan Matsuri tgl 11 Oct (minggu).

Tour Anime Festival Asia 2009 @ SG

Tau AFA (Anime Festival Asia) baru tahun lalu mulai diadakan dan tahun ini ada lagi. Tetap tgl 21-22 Nov 2009. Seperti tahun lalu event ini emang event GEDE!! dan ada seiyuu May'n datang. Tahun ini juga bakal ga kalah seru.

Ya ini cuma survey aja, kalo kita adain tour ke AFA selama 3-4 hari bakal ada yg mau ikut ga?? Tentunya programnya bakal penuh dengan cosplay, anime n manga stuff. Ya karena event AFA sendiri uda 2 hari (sbt&mgg) jadi kl bisa jumat dah brangkat dan senin balik. Tp ya liat aja gmn soalnya pasti ada yg kul ato kerja. Nah tour ini juga bakal jd langkah pertama utk membawa team2 cosplayer indo ke tingkat international. Team machipot uda buktiin loh! Menang di Coscos 09 *congratz* Anyway.... program tournya mgk bakal ada photoshoot khusus cosplay, workshop & meet n greet cosplayer antara SG n INDO, AFA, jln2 ke tempat jualan merchandise, craft shop (bagi cosplayer), lolita's shop, makan2 dll.... (makanya hrs 3-4hari). Nah pasti pada nanya ongkos.... kl ongkos sebenernya blum tau tp moga2an bisa dibawah 2jt utk 3-4 hari... moga2 air asia ada promo dan akomodasi bisa dapet yg murah...

Well ini masi perkiraan aja, jd bagi yg mo kasi masukan silakan... kl feedback bagus bakal dipercepat planning nya. Thanks sekian DoMouu~

Tgl 27 Juni 2009 - Mazee, FX Senayan

2 sesi workshop:

1. Jam 1300 - 1500 (max 15 orang)
2. Jam 1530 - 1730 (max 15 orang)

Mohon membawa peralatan dasar (seperti gunting dan lem UHU) untuk mempermudah proses. Peralatan dasar hanya tersedia terbatas
Bagi yang mau membawa bahan props sendiri dan mendapat bimbingan dari kami, juga boleh.
Bagi yang mau sharing pengalaman dan memperlihat hasil kerjaan props datang juga ya!
Workshop ini tidak memunggut biaya. Setiap peserta membuat props sendiri dan boleh bawa pulang.

Then on July there will be another 2 workshops and cosplay events.

JFFF the Satsugay Day!

The JFFF (Jakarta Food & Fashion Festival) was finally over... after so much preparation done our showing time is only a few seconds. But this is not i want to highlight here. With all about 100 over cosplayers, i think our group is the craziest! Satsugayyy!

Ok, i'm still busy doing my costume for this weekend, Jakarta Fashion and Food Festival at Kelapa Gading. There will be parade and we cosplayers will be at the starting part. So any of you who have time this saturday 23rd do come and visit Kelapa Gading. The parade start at 6pm but road closure is from 4pm i think, so i recommend to come earlier.

After this week, i will be busy planning for my Kumikyoku projects and the Workshop which i had a green light from FX.

I'm still down with a flu and sore throat so i must get well before saturday!!!

Amazing discovery

Ok ok... i admit i'm still a new comer for cosplay but I've done something that amazed me today.

Ok, I did a cosplay on Miku before and the wig after tat was in a mess. FRIZZ!! I was thinking to buy another wig or to dye a new wig to get the colour. And yes my preparation was done... FW acrylic ink and Dylon cold dye. And even recently i found a wig in taobao so cheap that I WANT IT SOOOO MUCH!!!

Anyway, during the march there will be a series of cosplay event and yes i'll try to attend every week so my costume have to be ready. So yes... the old Miku wig is a problem. So yesterday i soaked it 1 whole night in conditioner water and still not much different. I cant even run my fingers thru it. And i dont want to spoil it by pulling them apart. So reading a few tips on defrizz wig, i found this and praying that it will help and amazingly it is done withing 2-3 hours.

This is my wig before i began repairing

It was bad...

Then i follow the method by damping the wig with water and my straightener iron set to the lowest temp. Slowing working from the most bottom part of the wig and up.

Not perfect but i can comb it now.

See the difference ....

Some other imp things to take note is that, when pressing the iron to the wig, try not to press it hard. Just warm it and do it slowly and a few times it is done. The wig must be damp but not wet... cos if it is too wet, the excess water that heat up will burn your hand. Ahh at least now i have one costume ready to wear for next month.

I still have Mitsuru Kotobukiya, skirt is not yet adjust to my length and I dont know if i'm gonna make her sword.

It's time for me to plan my cosplay for this year. Well as i'm into my 3rd year of cosplay, i would like to make a simple mission. I would like (prefer) to cosplay past / old anime or manga. At least 2 years ago characters. Well not that i don't want to cosplay a recent character but i bet there will be alot of others doing the same and i would like to travel back time. So here we go...

Akemashite Omedetou 2009

How's the nite? Still very early to turn in so i'm saying a few new year's words. The starting of 2008 was a bad year for me and i seems to have a dilemma in my life but what is a life without ups and downs. Time passed and all went well, 2008 may be a learning year for me and i hope 2009 will be a better year for me.

Again i may not forget all my frens who are always there to cheer me up... and cosplay seems to get me more interested. I will be a better frens and better cosplayer ^___^
